San Diego Art Show (March 2021)
Raised in Southern California, Robert “Art Racc Clemons began his art journey at
the early age of 3. His father would be his first art instructor and mentor.
Developing basic drawing skills and creating a strong foundation through art, Art
Racc took this passion for creating with him as he started high school and
enrolled in a graphic design class during freshman year. He received his first art
commission during his sophomore year of high school. What started out as a
Geometry project, led Art Racc to design 3 poster size images of famed rapper,
Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg saw the artwork that was created of himself and
requested an original art piece from Art Racc.
Fast forward to 2016, Art Racc partnered with Shirt King Phade from The All-
Mighty Shirt Kings Brand and developed a skill for airbrushing designs on
garments for fashion and canvas. Art Racc and Shirt King Phade curated an art
exhibit with 20 local artists, whose works have been seen in MOCA, CAAM and
the Getty, at the Dollarhide Community Center in Compton, CA from February-
May 2016. Art Racc has held solo art exhibits in Pomona, Ca (2019), Los
Angeles,Ca (2020) and San Diego (2021). Art Racc is the art director for actress,
Jadah Marie, who has a clothing brand for teens. He spends his free time training
his 4 year old daughter in developing her artistic skills and provides art classes
for children and adults.
Art Racc is not limited to any particular style of art, he creates what he feels at
that time. It ranges from contemporary art, to abstracts and portraits.
His choice of medium is acrylic, oil, pastels, graphic design and digital imaging.
